Where

About

From early July to late September Heraklion runs a full summer programme of concerts, plays, dance and children's shows. The main stages are the Nikos Kazantzakis open-air theatre in the Venetian walls, the Manos Hatzidakis theatre and the Vethlehem bastion, and many events are free.

There is also an open-air cinema, and the season closes with a festival on the walls in September.
