Σχετικά

Small sandy coves next to Lentas harbour, calm and quiet with tavernas close by.

Loutra is a group of small sandy coves next to the little harbour of Lentas. The sand is brown with fine pebbles, the water calm and azure, and trees give natural shade. Lentas village with its tavernas and rooms is just a few minutes away.

Lentas itself is a relaxed, slightly alternative place, built below a headland that looks like a lion. In ancient times it was Levin, with a sanctuary of Asklepios whose ruins you can visit above the village. It's a great place to unwind for a few days.

Gortyna lies in the heart of the Messara, around the ruins of ancient Gortyn, the Roman capital of Crete. Agioi Deka is the main village, and the area stretches south to the Asterousia mountains and the remote coast of Lentas and Kali Limenes. The landscape is a mix of olive groves, small villages and wild mountains. The south coast here is one of the warmest and driest places in Crete, with quiet beaches and tavernas serving fresh fish.

Γύρω από Γόρτυνα

Heraklion is the heart of Minoan Crete and the island’s busiest region. Knossos and the Heraklion Archaeological Museum are the two places almost everyone visits, and they work well together on one day. In the south, the wide Messara plain holds the palace of Phaistos, the Roman ruins of Gortyna and the famous caves above the bay of Matala. Περισσότερα για Ηράκλειο
