Panigiria start the evening before the feast day: vespers in church, then food, music and dancing until late.

About
Ziros sits on a high plateau south of Sitia. On the evening of 26 July the village celebrates Agia Paraskevi with tables in the Heroes' Park, a full dinner and a Cretan band. A month later, on 29 August, Ziros does it again for Agios Ioannis.
