Three summer evenings of music, poetry and exhibitions high on the slopes of Psiloritis.
The date changes from year to year. Local cultural associations announce it a few weeks ahead, so please check before you go.
Anogia is the village of musicians and poets, and the Yakinthia is its own festival. It grew around the feast of Agios Yakinthos, whose small modern chapel stands on the mountain above the village, and today it fills the last weekend of July with concerts, readings, exhibitions and a memorial service.
The open-air theatre is at about 1,000 metres, so evenings are cool even in July. Women of the village often serve mountain tea and local products, and entry is usually free.
