The day after the Dormition, Eleftherna holds its own glenti next to the archaeological museum.

Panigiria start the evening before the feast day: vespers in church, then food, music and dancing until late.
The date changes from year to year. Local cultural associations announce it a few weeks ahead, so please check before you go.

About
The cultural association of Eleftherna organises its summer feast on 16 August, the day after the big Dormition celebrations. Cretan singers play at the Panorama area opposite the Museum of Ancient Eleftherna, with food and wine at long tables.
It is a nice way to pair a visit to the ancient city and its museum with an evening of music.
