About

A small pebble beach with rugged cliffs north of Agios Nikolaos.

Vlichadia is a tiny pebble beach surrounded by cliffs and sparse vegetation.

It's unorganised and quiet, with clear water. A good place for a peaceful swim.

The coast north of Agios Nikolaos, towards Elounda, has a few small, quiet beaches between the cliffs. Vlichadia is one of them, reached by a short path. It's a good place for a quiet swim and snorkelling.

Agios Nikolaos is the capital of Lasithi, built around a lake and a harbour on the beautiful Mirabello gulf. The area includes Elounda, Plaka and the island of Spinalonga to the north, and Kritsa, Lato and the Katharo plateau in the hills behind. The coast has many small beaches and calm bays, and the town is lively in the evening with cafes and restaurants around the lake. Boats leave for Spinalonga and trips around the bay.
